The information gathered in a property records search can help you with your purchasing decision and will be invaluable during the on-site inspection. If I have this information prior to the inspection, I can reference it with what I discover on-site to help determine whether renovations were permitted and done by professionals or if any restoration work has been done.
All the information obtained from the records search will be included in you inspection report. The search takes about 2 weeks to complete and requires written authorization of the current owner.
Please note that these searches are of municipal records only and is not a building code inspection or a fire department fire safety inspection of the property.
